FERRULES / SLEEVES / CRIMPS

Our CLAMP ferrules (also commonly referred to as talurits, sleeves, crimps) are used for making a mechanical eye splice in wire and fiber rope / braid. When correctly selected and applied to wire rope with the correct CLAMP hand swaging plier they will consistently hold the wire to its breaking load. However, please ensure that you read and understand the Safety Warning below before using / specifying these products.

CLAMP Copper Ferrules

These ferrules are designed to be applied to stainless steel wire rope with our CLAMP hand swaging pliers.
Hydraulic swaging using dies that have a cavity matching that of the correct CLAMP plier can also be used for their application where preferred.
Our copper ferrules are available in bright finished copper, nickel plated (to give a bright stainless steel matching appearance) and various other finishes by special order.

Ferrule sizes available: 1.5mm to 10mm wire rope diameter.

Aluminum Ferrules

These ferrules are designed for application with our CLAMP hand swaging pliers (or hydraulic swaging presses if preferred) to galvanized steel wire rope. Depending on the duty requirements they can also be used with solid galvanized wire.

Ferrule sizes available: 1.5mm to 6.4mm wire rope diameter.

CLAMP Copper Fiber Rope Ferrules

These ferrules are designed for application to fiber rope / braid with our CLAMP hand swaging tools.
These thin wall copper ferrules are ideal for achieving a neat eye splice in all types of fiber rope and braid. They can also be used successfully with shock cord (bungee cord).
They are available in a range of finishes from bright copper, nickel plated, gold zinc plated to antique bronze.

Ferrule sizes available: 3mm to 14mm rope / braid diameter.

Aluminum Stop Ferrules

These ferrules are designed to provide a "stopper" or termination to the end of a wire rope.
Intended for use with galvanized wire rope, they may be applied to stainless steel wire rope where there is little possibility of corrosion being an issue. They can be applied with either CLAMP hand swaging pliers or hydraulic swaging presses.
